The Hatchet Men In Their Ivory Tower is a 2-5 player game heavily inspired by the games of Ben Robbins, The Quiet Year, Friends At The Table, and Firebrands. And to a lesser extent Legend Of The Galactic Heroes, Mobile Suit Gundam, and Imperialism, The Highest Stage Of Capitalism
It's a game about the people who profit off of the backs of war, and the downfall that is sure to come. Can be good to play to tail end a longer running campaign in another game, to establish a world for a new campaign, or just as a standalone session.
Materials are pretty bare, a copy of the game, 2-5 hours, pencils and a notepad, index cards, a couple handfuls of tokens and 2 decks of playing cards.
