Broken Figures is a hidden traitor, murder mystery tabletop role playing game where your group will attempt to survive until you can be rescued from the mountain resort of Ravenshead. This game is run by the resort owner - Ginny Mathers or GM for short - for 4 to 8 guests. All players will need 2d6, a character sheet, pencil, and a stack of notecards. The GM will need 1d20 and 1d10.
---BRIEF GAME SUMMARY---
Years ago, you received a sculpted figurine of yourself in the mail with no clues as to sent it. Later, you are invited to Ravenshead resort by the artist. They wish to bestow their fortune to those who come but threaten to reveal the secrets of those who don't. Greed and nerves get you and the other guests to the resort.
Only a day after arrival, the road back down the mountain is blocked. A rescue crew is already at work to dig their way to you. Terror lurks as the guests safety is threatened. Can the guests survive long enough to be rescued?
Conversely, can the killer murder all of the targeted individuals before the road clearing crew and the detective arrives?
Enjoy your stay at Ravenshead... as long as it lasts.
---WHY YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD AND PLAY---
If you are a person who likes weird, interesting, and unique TTRPGs, then you will enjoy Broken Figures. A system of hidden notes to perform actions and revealed secrets that become known with mounting failure builds intrigue and tension as the killer closes in. Murder mystery fans will enjoy attempting to skirt death and discover who is the killer. Whomever is the murderer will have fun exacting their revenge. The asymmetrical nature of the game and the numerous guest / killer profiles will have players crafting a unique experience with every play thru.
If you want to support an indie TTRPG designer who makes monthly games, then I am grateful. To make bigger games with more art takes support. If you've read this far, please hit the follow TheBigTabletop in the upper righthand corner (if you aren't already following). A little support goes a long way. So thank you for taking the time to check out my games.
---SPECIAL THANKS---
I'd like to thank Ellen (@Ellen_Dalina on twitter) for the initial prompt of murder mystery in the vein of Agatha Christie. Broken Figures is a very different kind of game than I normally make and I had a ton of fun working this one out. It takes a community to make games and I am grateful to meet such interesting people.
