#HotIndieTTRPGs For the indie rpg that caught their interest in 2020, @ChloeMashiter picked Font by Narrative Dynamics
An indie TTRPG that captured my interest, and I've recommended to anyone who'll listen, is Font by Narrative Dynamics/Michael Dunn O'Connor. Everything you need for the game fits onto one side of A5 - rules, character sheet, everything fits into such a small space. The game basically follows a group of characters on a journey that changes them - a simple idea which is then expressed in such beautiful ways. It hugely appeals to me as someone who loves cathartic, emotional role-play and the prompts are so evocative - at one point your rolls determine whether you reveal a secret or bury it forever, and the absolute nature of that is such a brilliantly strong offer. Additionally, there's great mechanics that play into how players and their characters interact - if your character sacrifices something, then another character can receive advantage on a roll. It's just very tightly and elegantly written.
