2020 in Indie RPGs/Speak the Sky/Game: Monster Care Squad

'm really interested in the trend towards laid-back or pastoral games from indie designers this year. Just to name one: Monster Care Squad (MCS) by Sandy Pug Games, which flips monster-killing, dungeon-crawling fantasy on its head by pitching you as medical specialists diagnosing and healing giant, rampaging monsters who reward you with magical Gifts. As much as I like games about messy drama and violent conflict, I also want to see how people develop themes like compassion, support, and personal subjectivity, especially after this year.
