Atlantean: The Longing is a tabletop role playing game that was heavily inspired by the style and theme of classic World of Darkness games like Vampire: The Masquerade and Werewolf: The Apocalypse.
In the game, players are Atlanteans: modern descendants from the lost city of Atlantis who decide to fight against the pollution of their ocean home and the destruction of the ecosystem using supernatural powers bestowed upon them by Poseidon.
While they are taking the fight to them on the surface, their greatest enemy is the Longing: a supernatural homesickness that beckons them back into the comfort of the ocean. The more they spend on land and rely on their powers, the stronger the Longing will become. If they resist the Longing for too long, they lose their powers and risk exposing their kin.
