This is the ashcan edition of a tabletop roleplaying game in which you roll 2d10 against a challenge number to determine the outcome of your character's actions. The die roll is adjusted by your character's descriptor and gear to bucket the odds, so that a character with prentice-level skills will pretty much always accomplish easy stuff but will have no chance of fully accomplishing journeyer-level tasks.
