Hesitation at the Gate is a game of chasing enlightenment. Your character will have goals, motivations, and relationships. Their skills will be honed and tested friendships will blossom and wither away. The world will fight back at them for daring to dream. There will be great successes and tragic failures. No matter how far they go, the ultimate challenge will patiently wait for them to arrive. When all foes are conquered and all dangers escaped, will it be worth it? When your character stands before the gates of Truth, will they be satisfied with the path that has brought them there?
Hesitation at the Gate is a Tarot-based roleplaying game with an innovative trick taking resolution system. Two to six players can run one-shots, short, or long scale campaigns. The only things required to play are character sheets and a Tarot deck.
