Unstuck in Time is a solo-journaling RPG in which you play as a person experiencing time in a random order. Each turn of the page puts you in a different time, place, and scenario, and invites you to figure out what's next.

Do you flit uncontrollably through your personal history? Have you found yourself storming off after an argument, and passing through the doorway only to arrive at a different room in a different house, decades later? Do you sometimes close your eyes at work and find yourself in your childhood bedroom, staring at glow-in-the-dark stars as a parent reads a bedtime story?

You may be Unstuck in Time, and this pamphlet is for you.

---

The game includes:

  • Full Game Directions
  • Print-and-Play materials for creating a custom time-jumping journal
  • Spreadsheet for digital play
  • Sample game

---

This game was inspired by Kurt Vonnegut's writing, especially Slaughterhouse Five, Madame Razz in She Ra and the Princesses of Power, and the Mrs. Grose episode of The Haunting of Bly Manor. The game also has some design elements inspired by Tim Hutchings' Thousand Year Old Vampire.

Content Notes:

This game is designed to be disorienting and simulates memory loss. The game may also touch on topics, such as death, disease, family dynamics, or other topics that could be distressing or triggering. You are invited to change or skip prompts that could be uncomfortable, but if these are topics that you are not in a place to explore, perhaps consider playing at a later date.
