Work together with your friends to defy impossible odds. After The End is a stand-alone tabletop roleplaying game inspired by Ironsworn, OSR, and Shadow of the Demon Lord.
This rule system is designed to facilitate scenarios that challenge player characters physically and emotionally. However, this is not a “grimdark” game. As darkness threatens to swallow up the land, hope, heroism, and defiance are never far away.

FEATURES
- Intentions matter: Player choices and descriptions determine the consequences of successful rolls.
- Classless character creation: Choose between defense, combat, mundane, and magical skills to build your character.
- Tag system: Develop and deepen characters with simple one to two word descriptions that evoke your character’s history and motivations. Collect more tags as your character changes during their journey.
- Flexible magic: Broadly defined magic themes allow you to modify the effects of your spells on the fly.
After The End is currently still in development and is being playtested. Upcoming planned features include specific GM guidelines, setting information, and additions to a few skills.
Currently the rules are formatted for Statement (5.5 x 8.5") paper. Printing 2 pages per standard letter paper should allow you to print out this game as a compact physical booklet.
