Forgotten Gods is a storytelling game of polytheistic myth-making, for 3 to 6 people over 1 to 2 hours. It is currently in early access, pending an in-person playtest to tighten the instructions and hone the balance.
Build a pantheon of gods and tell their many stories with your companions, while a fire burns away this sacred time together. Using a largely read-aloud game text, you will guide the creation of stories with cosmic impact, larger-than-life characters, and a ritualistic reverence.
This game was inspired by Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology, Madeline Miller's Circe, and the Mountain Goats' Songs for Pierre Chuvin. I am indebted to the countless storytellers and historians who have carried the torch since antiquity.
