Shelter and Survive is a tabletop roleplaying experience intended to help the people of Britain prepare for the end of the world. It contains helpful guidance on essential skills for survival, such as remembering your name, distrusting others, and avoiding Them at all costs.
To participate, you will require:
- two 6-sided dice
- pen and paper
- a group of willing companions
You will misremember your skills, convince yourself lies are true, and make new friends along the way. One of the participants will play the role of the Authority Figure.
Trust in the Authority Figure
Shelter and Survive is a tabletop roleplaying game in a tri-fold pamphlet, printable on a single sheet of paper. It was heavily inspired by Jared Sinclair's What's So Cool About Outer Space?
The design of Shelter and Survive was inspired by Protect and Survive, a terrifying advertising campaign prepared by the UK Government in the late 1970s to ready the British people for nuclear war.
