Homeward Bound is a game of improvisation and gives prospective players the opportunity to act or react to situations in a manner that they would not during a campaign in a normal RPG. It also functions as an exercise for prospective GMs to showcase or practice their improvisational skills.
Homeward Bound is inspired by the 1993 film "Falling Down", starring Michael Douglas. If you are unsure of whether you want to run or play this game, then I suggest you watch the film to understand the atmosphere and playstyle Homeward Bound replicates.
Overall, this TTRPG should be played during an evening with good friends, good food, and good fun.
