The game Prisoner of Ruritania, made for the 2021 "Me, My Friend, And My RPG Game Jam", is for two players with some time on their hands.
One player is the Prisoner, whose role is that of an imprisoned bon vivant somewhere in a fictionalized, Victorian-esque Europe. The Prisoner writes letters to their outside contacts, attempting to fulfill a set of tasks in order to end the game.
The other player is the Censor, who reads over the letters and blocks out sentences that contain banned words. After that step, the Censor also judges whether the Prisoner has accomplished any tasks with their letter.
Ultimately, as the Prisoner struggles with communicating under the brutal censorship of Ruritania, they will begin to adapt their style of writing to better get their point across, much in the style of other writers of the time.

- Optional rules for adding a third player
- An example of a letter before-and-after censorship
