Small Memories [Free]

Small Memories [Free]:

‘These people could fly’, they would say.

‘They would command huge machines that could mould the earth around them’.

‘They could talk to anyone, anywhere in the world with this.’ The stories seemed so fantastic.

‘They always had more than they needed.’

It all seems so unbelievable. But here in your pack, you have a collection of interesting bits and pieces from their world. Pieces of old tools and decorations. You turn them over in your hands and run your fingers over their surface and try to connect with people who lived so very long ago in a world you will never understand.

Small Memories is a solo game of story telling and future antropology in the far distant future. Long after human hubris has cause a major societal collapse, humans live in smaller, simpler communities. We carry on without the aid of modern industrialization, communication and logistics. Life is slower and simpler but it persists.

Small Memories played in two parts. First is a treasure hunting. Go out into the world and find things discarded, lost, forgotten or misplaced. Preferably small enough to fit in your hand. (Specifically not stolen or taken without consent)

The second part is taking these items you have found, catalog them and explain them through the eyes of someone living in a world far removed from our own. Try to imagine how these fantastic people once live and feel the connection shared between you and them through these small memories.
