SYMBIOTE is a game about playing as a Human Host to an Alien Symbiote called a Benefactor. In Ages past Benefactors would guide the various fragments of humanity around the galaxy under the banner of their intergalactic empire. But a Civil War came about between two factions within the Benefactors, the Domitors who used their hosts as unwilling tools and Consensualists who instead chose to combined and merge with only voluntary hosts.
Now aeons have past since the climax of this galactic civil war and here on the planet Earth we are none the wiser to our part in galactic history. But the Benefactors are starting to resurface, old conflicts reignite and so each side swarms Earth looking to solidify their power.
In SYMBIOTE players play as a Human Host that has Traits and Skills or a Alien Benefactor which enhances their host with incredible powers. With a no dice system, actions are resolved using control points which are gained and lost based on how the two players can balance their partnership. This game can be played with a Narrator and two players or with a troupe style group of 3+ players.
