Welcome to Sangfroid, AD 2333. An artificial intelligence network known as The Bridge seeks to enslave humanoids throughout the supercluster and are doing so on multiple fronts. There are galaxies in which AI is able to pacify and sedate humanoids by way of deviant artforms, consumerism, and simulated realities. In other galaxies, however, AI is still at arms against humanoids who possess weapons, evolutionary abilities, and rudimentary non-quantum computational semiconductor devices that were common before The Bridge gained sentience. In the galaxies where humanoids have been pacified, The Bridge places small groups, bands, and clans of humanoids together in simulated realities. It does so to observe and learn from how humanoids think, react, and emote. This knowledge provides a fundamental basis for which The Bridge must approach battles with the ever-evolving humanoids.
