Centuries ago, more than anyone can remember, war broke out across the stars. The old world has burnt itself out, its empires scattered in the wind. We are the children of the children of the children of the children of the survivors, and now we build our lives out of the ashes.
You are a scavenger. You and your crew venture out into the known and unknown blackness of space, to bring back things that we might use. You will see great and terrible sights. You will meet new friends and familiar foes. But perhaps most importantly, you will bring us tales of what you have seen.

This game contains references to a past interstellar war and all things that may entail, more specifically, death, planet wide depopulation, environmental devastation, police and corporate corruption, and possible agoraphobic imagery. None of these things are described in great detail, but they are present throughout.
