What was the RPG Pipeline

The RPG Pipeline was a posting board to keep track of upcoming tabletop rpgs from 2015 to 2021 (this Blogger version began in 2019). It covered new English language ttrpgs and ttrpgs going into crowdfunding.

Freeward Frontier [Free]

Freeward Frontier [Free]:

The Frontier is wild. Deadly? Certainly. But it is free. And the Kingdoms of the Old World won't stop until they've taken it for themselves. Say your vows, recruits, and throw off your past crimes. Rise, reborn, to keep this land safe and thwart all those that would exploit it.

-- Lord Commander Galais Impasse

In Freeward Frontier, you have left the schemes and greed of the Old World behind for the beauty of the Frontier. It is unknown, untamed, and unbroken. As a sworn member of the Freewardens, you must explore this unknown continent, solve its mysteries, and help its inhabitants stave off danger and colonisation.

Freeward Frontier is a hex crawl tabletop roleplaying game for three to six players. This one page, two side document is a complete ruleset for character creation, generating the Frontier hex-by-hex, and managing the Freewardens' relationships and resources in this harsh new world.

To play, you will need:

  • A Games Master (GM), quick on their toes.
  • Two to six players, true of heart.
  • D6 and D20 dice, hopefully lucky.
  • Paper for character sheets and a map.
  • Pencils and erasers -- you'll need them. Drawing hexes is hard.
