Hello! The Open is a one-on-one game about ascension. One player will play the role of the Guide, a game master of this system that will create challenges and roleplay back and forth with The Open, the player character. The Open is an initiate of the hidden arts, able to command occult powers. During the course of the play they will grow their abilities, collect lost knowledge, scrounge ruins in impossible places and finally ascend, transform into a higher being of demi-god like power. The game uses a cross between pool systems and classic PbtA for its core resolution mechanic and it stays relatively light, making it fairly easy to pick up and versatile. I wouldn't recommend it as your first PbtA game, but it will be great as the second one.
