W&W is a sandbox-style RPG using our modified FATE engine, FATE Decelerated. Players take on the roles of robots, uplifted creatures, or humans exploring star systems and interacting with inhabitants of worlds of disparate levels of technology and law. Plying their way between alien-built space stations to a ringworld home to Bronze Age inhabitants through alien wormholes, the trains of Stellar Rail ensure economic and cultural exchanges between higher and lower tech levels. Their rivals, the Trans-System Dynamics technocrats along with the Andover Patent Police maintain strict control over access to technologies throughout the system. In the meantime, low-tech civilizations struggle to survive the colonizers and plunderers eager to retrieve ancient alien artifacts from their lands.
Wormwood is often used in the tea used in cultural and economic exchange rituals. But its bitterness also flavours the Scooper Cluster as technologies and diplomacy start to fail.
