You are a lesser spirit, inhabiting your island home with the greater spirits and the human islanders, the Palau. One day, you notice a curious ship on the ocean’s horizon. It lands on the island’s shore, much larger than any ship you’ve seen. Pale humans who speak in a strange language disembark.
The new humans cut down jungles to plant new seeds, and pollute rivers and streams. They battle the Palau and kill the beasts of the island. Worse, as time passes, more ships arrive, disgorging new colonizers to blight the island. The island suffers, and as it does, your power wanes.
The greater spirits, though immensely powerful, are slow to act. You and your fellow lesser spirits must convince them of the dangers of the invading force. Only through their intervention can your island return to peace.
