YJÓARVALLA is a game of perilous adventures, where danger and dread lurks around every corner. The very atmosphere itself seems to be a living, ravenous entity left in the wake of the gods disappearance. Life is short and gruelling and many an adventurer retire from grievous wounds or broken minds. One has to wonder, are the dead the lucky ones?
Lo, do not fret though, grab your arms, make your peace and march for adventure, for gold does not make itself and monsters do not simply lay down and die.
What kind of game is YJÓARVALLA?
YJÓARVALLA is written to encompass different types of play. It is a Dungeon crawl with RPG elements at its core, where a group of players or even a single player can follow along an evolving story, progress their character and attempt to survive this dangerous and ever changing world. You are not a glorious and vaulted hero, well not yet at least. Your story has a more humble beginning in a world where the gods are dead and their death left the world shattered and perilous. Your character will not be saving the world from impending doom, instead you will have to settle with surviving and maybe saving a town or village in the process. Ultimately your choices and failures will determine your story’s outcome or its inevitable demise.
