A Bat-Man Goes Down [Free]

A Bat-Man Goes Down [Free]:

This game explores the relationship dynamics of two cryptids, a bat-man and a cat-woman. Owing to smart costuming and a convenient humanoid form, these cryptids have been able to pass themselves off as humans in low-light situations, such as alleys and pop culture conventions, and forge successful human careers as vigilantes and child entertainers. These cryptids have ingrained gender hierarchies and notions of hero work that make it difficult to maintain healthy realtionships where each partner is giving and generous to each other and the city they have vowed to protect (Alter, 2021). You will explore this tension in this game.

One player will play the role of the bat-man, the other the role of the cat-woman. Together players will choose problems, then the cat-woman will suggest appropriate solutions and the bat-man may or may not enact these solutions based on his construct of what heroes do and do not do. This will continue until a climax is achieved, and then the game is finished.

This game is mostly a joke around a dropped line in an interview that turned into a conversation (also mostly jokes) on social media for a week. It is also mostly serious, and mostly a game. It is designed to be played.

There is sexual subtext in this game, but it is just subtext. Don't play it with kids, that'd be weird.

Print double-sided, short-edged binding. Start by reading the first page (with the title), do not read the second page until instructed. You will need an implement to cut the put in two, scissors work but something more elaborate, expensive and black would be cool.
