Run Sci-Fi survival-horror/adventure with simple rules inspired by OSR gaming.
These are my house-rules to play Mothership RPG modules and scenarios using my homebrew of Into the Odd.
As in the spirit of DIY gaming, please feel free to edit, add, or modify the rules to fit your table.
For guidance on running the game, there are any number of great videos, blog posts and interviews, particularly from the creators of both inspirations (Mothership by Sean McCoy, Into the Odd by Chris McDowall).
In general (from Chris McDowall's posts on his website):
> Give information or where to get it when they ask or look.
> When they plan, offer dilemma or just let them do it unless it's really impossible.
> Go big with your threats: make damage just happen and keep Saves for strange effects.
