It is 2052 and the world is sick. Persistent pandemics and the overheating climate have bankrupted most of the world’s governments. Banks and businesses have coalesced into superentities with almost limitless power and private armies. Outside of the shiny corporate office buildings, common people are fighting tooth and nail just to get by. Crime, corruption, and social unrest are at an all-time high.
You play a proxy, a go-between, a handler of things. For you, this struggling world is ripe with opportunity, as everyone is in need of something. Corporations, street gangs, and the common people all need someone who can get things done. All you need is a couple of friends who will have your back and some money to upgrade your cybernetics, software, and equipment as you fight your way from the starving warrens to the upper echelons of power.
In HexGen you will often be presented with hard choices, from character creation – to the fate of the world. Who will you choose as allies and what will you do, when it is your time to make the decisions?
