Himbos of Myth & Mettle is a high fantasy, high camp role playing game of epic proportions (of body), for 2-5 players, one of whom will act as Game Guide.  The rules center around a simple roll under mechanic and prioritize narrative flair and cinematic descriptions. Himbos is inspired by many classic fantasy properties (and could be considered OSR adjacent) , but leans towards a more garish, salacious and queer (gay or odd, pick your fighter) style of play. It is designed with comedy and flamboyance in mind, but is not without it deeper and darker touches. It's definitely *not* grimdark, but there will probably be blood. Think classic fantasy pulp in style, but contemporary sensibilities, modern rules-lite mechanics, and a player philosophy centered in helping, kindness and being fucking hot.

Tonal touch points: Discworld, Xena, animated Hercules.

$15 - Print Edition - THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT. Shipping will be collected after the funding period through my site. All purchasers at this level will receive a redeemable code. If we get to hardcover, the code will be able  to discount the hardcover version or be redeemed for the full price of the zine.  Every print edition sold will contribute a community copy.

Itchfunding Himbos. 

As a part of ZiMo 2022, himbos is itchfunding for the month of February. The cover art, editing, base game design and layout are all in progress or completed. The funding is to cover the cost of the print run and to add more art, including an illustrated character sheet. Funds beyond that will be used to pay more rad people to make more rad Himbo content. 

$250 - Print run and final touch ups complete.

$750 - More Art! 

$1100 - Hardcover printing upgrade. Listen, it would be a dream to print one of my games in hardcover. I will do cool stuff with the end pages I promise.

$1300+ - Himbos of Fund - Anything raised above this during the funding period will be put towards paying other designers to make hacks of this game. I will release an SRD, but I already know of 1 or 2 potentials of these coming through the pipes, so I would love to be able to support those.
