You have ascended. You cannot be sure how, or perhaps even why. In fact, you aren’t sure of anything. Who are you? What are you? Nothing is certain. The dimensions you now occupy are unfamiliar and your mind strains to comprehend the kaleidoscopic sensory information available to it. Scattered threads of knowledge still remain, but it will take work to weave it back together and rediscover your Qualia.
Game Details
Qualia is a surreal experience inspired by Dadaism and ergodic literature. Its players find themselves in a kaleidoscopic reality where rules give way to the chaos of unbridled imagination. As Avatars of this world they must interpret their form and abilities based on lingering memories. They grow and change by expressing themselves and in doing so, the world changes around them.
I wanted to create a game about visualisation, creative thinking, and abstract narration. This is a game that focuses more on the journey than the destination, and on cerebral reflection of what it means to sense in a reality that is innately incomprehensible. I hope you enjoy your journey.
