gamen't [$5.00]
Some people have the spark of magic within them. Others don't. The ones who don't seem to live fulfilled lives: they remember where they're from, what they've done, who they are, what they want, where they're going. They never bargained pieces of themselves away for power and had to learn to live with what was left. They wouldn't even know where to begin with doing that. They don't see everything, everyone, that mages see; they can't, or they refuse, or if they do they don't speak of it, and they certainly don't speak to it. It must be nice, to have all of the pieces of yourself.
You wouldn't know. That's not what you are.

In the image of a God [Free]
A short dungeon-ish exploration of climbing the giant man painted by Van Gogh in 1886.
I saw a really cool jam and I wanted to make something for it, so here we are!
I'm not sure what else to say, you should be able to use this in any system you want, just make sure to prepare your own monsters as they aren't statted here. Harpies, flying snakes, and cultists are the dangers. Maybe a dragon. It isn't an adult game, but there is a butt in the art. Beware.

The Brightest Things We Know [Free]
The Brightest Things We Know is a game about star-blessed demigods defending what remains of mankind against the desperate, imperious, forgotten and all-consuming forces that have come to drive us from the system we call home.
It is a hack of John Harper's Blades In The Dark, but rather than playing gritty rogues dodging the building heat of their daring escapades and building their criminal legacy, we play the part of those long-dead but reborn into great power through the grace and wake of the Visitor. We play to find out how long they can protect their people before the memories of who they once were and the mortality attached catch back up with them.
The Brightest Things We Know were forged in the dark.

It's Time To Plant The Beans [Free]

In ages long past, before the ancients learned how to meddle with creatures' life strings, cats came from one place: other cats.
This was inconvenient, as an unsupervised population of cats could quickly hit critical mass, burying a whole ecosystem under the weight of rapidly spawning expert mousers.
So the ancients, in an effort to stem this remorseless tide of felines, introduced a tiny change into their nature.
Cats could no longer spawn other cats. Only we could grow them.
Which where you come in.
Welcome to Yowlchirp Farm.
You are to be our newest cat-rancher and, we hope, our most successful one.
Cat-ranching is a challenge, as the ancients didn't want it to be so easy to create a cat that you could accidentally plant a whole field of them. However, with a little attention and care, we think you'll find the knack for it in no time.
To help get you up to speed, we've prepared this step-by-step guide to growing a cat.
The first step is planting the beans.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's Time To Plant The Beans is a dice-stacking, journaling RPG about growing cats on a cat-farm.
It's designed so that you can play it in "narrative mode", writing about your cats as they grow---or as an idle dice-stacking game that you can play while waiting for your turn to come up in something a bit more crunchy and tactical.
But more importantly, it's designed to let people grow cats from beans, as nature intended.
Pastel Horses [Free]

In the small frontier town you're growing up in, the winters are harsh and gray, the summers are hot and dusty, and life is about hard work and cold porridge. But down in Buttercream Coulee is a strange horse trail. A trail only you seem to know about. A trail into a wondrous, magical realm, where the grass is blue and the breeze is warm and you and your horses can run free.
Who Are You?
Are you a daring cowgirl with a stubborn mustang? An easy-going farmhand with a goofy appaloosa? A curious greenhorn with a nervous arabian? You and your friends will mix and match elements to create your little group of tweenage riders.
What Will You Do?
Will you skip your chores to explore dark, magical briars? Drink from a stream with a flock of winged deer? Help a lost cub find its family? Draw out the shyfolk with the power of song? Go fishing? Race wild pastel horses across rolling hills of velvet grass?
Features
- Based on Slugblaster Turbo, and uses an ultra-light version of Forged in the Dark engine.
- Designed for a one-shot including epilogue rules to bring your story to a satisfying end. (Could work for short campaigns as well, just reset boost dice and horse powers between adventurers)
- Five pre-teen rider playbooks and five magical horses for players to mix and match. Each horse doubles as a coloring page. Make sure you put some pencil crayons on the table!
- Two GM pages with NPCs, locations, encounters, hooks, and problem tables.
Touchstones & Influences
- Hilda
- Spirit: Riding Free
- Little House on the Prairie
- Narnia
- Horses Are Magic! by Izzy Marsh
Beta
This is a beta, with placeholder art and some temporary layout elements. I made this over the holidays as a little creative break, inspired by some of the stuff I was watching with my daughter. I'll collect feedback and consider a more official release. If you are an illustrator who does horses, contact me.

What happened to the two of you?

Reckon-figure [Free]

This is a single player roleplaying game where you take on the role of a figure from one of Caspar David Friedrich’s paintings and write from their point-of-view.
Roleplaying means taking on another’s perspective, acting as someone else. Friedrich’s paintings, with their rückenfigur (or “figure from the back”) motif, invite you to do that explicitly.

Sarcodes Sanguinea [Free]

Sanguinea is a 3-player RPG about some kind of relationship, be it platonic, romantic, or symbiotic. One player will be steadfast and caring, one transactional and impactful, and one beautiful and doomed.
Content Warning: Sanguinea is written and named after snowplant, a parasitic plant that can only survive with certain mycorrhizal fungi. As such, the game is centered around themes of codependence, and unstable relationships. Stories told using this game are also predisposed to involve character loss, grief, and death. Be aware of your own sensitivity to these issues, as well as those of your fellow players, and use appropriate safety tools. If you are unaware of common safety tools in TTRPGs, feel free to consult Kienna Shaw and Lauren Bryant-Monk's compilation of safety tools here: bit.ly/ttrpgsafetytoolkit.Somewhere, somehow, the three of you became interlinked. Something is true about each of you:
The Rhizome is steadfast, constant, and unmoved.
The Mycor is driving, changing, and transactional.
The Sanguine is fleeting, beautiful, and doomed. The three of you are deeply intertwined, locked together in this dance. You might or might not know it yet, but something else is true: The Sanguine will not survive the Spring.
You, the players, will embody these roles, determine how you all came to be so closely connected, why each of you cannot live without the other, and how the Sanguine is doomed. Throughout play, you all will explore how your relationship changes and grows, even as the Sanguine withers.

The Raunchy Pappies should work together to help each other relive their Glory Days. Keep it classy or someone might tip off the mall cops and they will send you back to the retirement home.
This fun one-shot TTRPG uses a Bowling Sheet for the action resolution. Depending on the amount of pins you bowl over, you have the chance at a varying level of success or failure! Aim well and strike hard and you'll bowl everyone over. You will want to do well across your frames or risk raising the alarm!
Relive your Glory Days before the mall cops catch onto your group and the trouble you are causing. Otherwise everyone gets sent back to the retirement home!

Alone In Between [$2.00]

Alone In Between is a solo journaling game about being trapped between this world and somewhere else. It is about communication, regrets, and unfinished business. You play as a ghost trapped in your former home struggling to convey a final message to the living left behind.
This game requires a standard deck of 52 playing cards, 1 six-sided die, and a way to record your game, such as pencil and paper.
———————
Alone In Between is based on Alone Among the Stars by Takuma Okada.

Alone In Between is part of a game design exercise where I take the same basic game concept and render it as a hack of different games and systems. You can learn more about the project in this Twitter thread.

Agents of Dice-ception [$5.00]

Nearly a century ago, humans discovered alien life on Earth. Initially terrified, they created the Federation of Intergalactic Bug-hunters to protect humanity. Over the next few decades, though, the people in dark blazers working for FiB discovered that the "bugs" were really pretty nice and shifted from policing off-worlders to making sure they stay safe and, above all, a secret. They changed the official name of FiB to "Folks in Blazers" to embrace these new roles.
You just learned about all of this when a recruiting agent tapped you to take the test to become the next member of FiB. But before you join, you'll have to show that you can outperform your fellow Potential Recruits—or at least convince them that you can. After all, if you get to "put on the Blazer" in the end, you'll be encountering things you've never seen before. Sometimes, you're just going to have to lie.
Agents of Dice-ception is a GMless storytelling RPG where players take on the role of Potential Recruits vying for the next spot. You can adjust the value of a challenge that all of the Potential Recruits are facing with dice from your own secret dice pool. But you need to walk a fine line. On one hand, you want to make the value high enough that no one else can succeed. On the other hand, you want to keep it low enough that the other Potential Recruits still think you can succeed with the dice you've kept secret.

versus:Colossus [Free]
When the Threat reached earth, we weren’t ready. How could we ever be ready for something like that? Ready or not, my friends and I did our best to fight it off. And we did pretty well for first-timers, if I say so myself. But that was just a taste of the violence to come. It’s just us versus the end of the world. No one else can stop the attack. No one else even knows it’s happening.
Versus:Colossus is a tabletop RPG inspired by shows like Planet With and SSSS.Gridman. It can be used to tell any kind of story involving repeated, escalating attacks by a threat which can only be stopped by the heroes and their special transformations (battle armor, magical girl outfits, ghost forms, etc.).
Our playtesting sessions took about 2 hours each, and we expect the ongoing campaign to last around 10-12 sessions total, modeling a season of anime.
The gameplay is inspired by Dungeon World and Fate Accelerated Edition.
Versus:Colossus was designed by Michael Stroud for The Last RPG Jam.
The Great Gatsby: The Tabletop Roleplaying Game [$5.00]

On January 1st, 2021, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel The Great Gatsby, widely considered one of the all time greatest works of American literature, entered the public domain. In this game, you and a group of friends play as a group of public domain characters who find themselves in the world of The Great Gatsby. Will you be able to prevent the death of Myrtle? Can you solve the mystery of what Dr. T.J. Eckleburg’s billboard means? Will Gatsby and Nick finally get to kiss? Will you beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past? The only way to find out is to play!
This game, for several players and a GM, will require one or more six sided dice, and a pen and paper may be useful as well. You might also want to have a copy of the novel on hand, but a six page summary of the events of each chapter is included as well. The game is 10 pages long as a whole. 2 PDFs are included, one with the full game, and one with only the first page, which is all that should be shown to players.
