These rites are not of the bodies, which are always accepted by the hungry ground. No, these rites are to put to rest the secrets of those who have passed. If the rites are not completed, their secrets might linger, fester. And where secrets remain, other things may follow. Things which should have been buried. Things which are not meant to return.

The Burial Rites is a DM-less collaborative story-telling RPG of dark secrets and ancient horrors, when you work together to weave the story of what has really gone on in your community and protect it from whatever darkness might be lingering.
