You are the Blaster Paladins, members of a military Order of cyber-enhanced warriors committed to protecting the downtrodden of the City, punishing the unrighteous, the mutant, and the monster, and blowing shit up (not necessarily in that order). Blaster Paladins swear binding oaths that guide their actions. And every single one looks like they were drawn by Rob Liefeld in the 90s.
The City is an endless metropolis of steel, glass, and neon. Huge towers, each housing whole neighbourhoods, soar into the smog-saturated sky, and ancient tunnels and abandoned sewers dive like roots into the toxic soil. Criminals prey on the desperate. Grotesque mutants hunt in packs through the shadows. Someone needs to protect the innocent. And somewhere along the line, the Blaster Paladins decided it would be them.
The Order of Blaster Paladins is overseen by Mother Clergy, a vast hivemind of former Paladins and legendary heroes that dispenses rulings, gives orders, and grants permission to the Blaster Paladins to break their oaths if the situation calls for it. Because, you know, all the best moral codes are flexible.
Go where Mother Clergy sends you. Judge and execute the criminals. And keep your oaths (mostly).

Blaster Paladins is a submission to #BotCollabJam created by Mitchell Salmon based on a Tweet by the RPG Bot (@laserfeelings). In this game players take on high-intensity missions to bring "peace" and "order" to the City that you have decided is yours to protect. You have two stats, Blasters and Paladin. Roll above Blasters to enact violence, destroy things, act under pressure, and bring righteous judgement on criminals and monsters. Roll above Paladin to use your rank and position in society to your advantage, influence people into doing what you say, and convince people you’re doing the right thing when they doubt you.
All documents are in plain-text Microsoft Word format.

I respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri people and the Boon Wurrung / Bunurong people of the Kulin Nations as the traditional owners of the land on which the majority of my work takes place. I pay respects to elders past, present, and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.
