After the War all the wayward children were thrown into the battle games…They escaped and now live among the ruins of a crumbling city patrolled by haywire combat robots sent to bring them back.
Most survivors have made a good life for themselves in whats left of civilization, if only those scary robots weren’t around. The solution, put together a team of volunteers to make their way to the city centre and destroy the robots control brain.

Originally a one session game I ran for teenagers at my local game store back in 2013, Down by the River is the first of three modules in a series about the struggles of young survivors in the aftermath of a galactic war. The game is easy to pick up and play, all rolls use a single d10 and the characters have two stats at their disposal “Confidence” and “Paranoia” these are used to gauge the tension as the players work together to battle giant robots and form emotional bonds as they look for safe places to rest and unwind.
