In quarantine, the days feel like months and the weeks feel like hours. Fever Games is a collection of somewhere between 14 and 33 games about the crushing weight of surviving in times like these. They are reflections on the past and desperate demands from the future. These games aren't meant to be played, and I would never wish their playing onto anyone.
I have played these games.
CWs within the zine for suicide, abuse, self-harm, and all the trials and tribulations that come with being a severely mentally ill young adult in the time of COVID.
Fever Games is the sixth zine in the Games For The Missing & The Found series. Over the past year, Games For The Missing & The Found has become an important touchstone and marker for the emerging Lyric Game genre on Itch. Zines from this series have been given as reading material for college-level game design courses, and they have achieved critical acclaim.
