a journaling game about paranormal romance and parasocial obsession
Each night, you dream about a heartbreakingly beautiful stranger.
They want to spirit you away to another world, forever.
Will you go with them?
In order to play, you'll want a journal, and a deck of cards. (Tarot is best, but regular playing cards will work too.)
The journal belongs to you. The face-down cards belong to your paramour. Both are private, and you must respect each other's privacy.
A tumbling block tower also recommended, if you have one. The tower represents your waking life. Your paramour is not allowed to touch it.
This game’s bones were pulled from THE WRETCHED.
This game’s heart beats to a rhythm you might hear in STAR CROSSED, OLD AS THE SKY, OLD AS THE MOON, and BAD MOON.
Content warning: this is a game about loneliness, helplessness, and intimacy. It's not explicitly about self-harm, but it does have a subtext of "what if I disappeared forever?" If those themes are distressing for you, please take care.
