Content Notice:
The same content that excites one player can make another feel unsafe. For both these reasons, I'll discuss Home Renovation's themes, so you can know if this game is for you.
In Home Renovation, different Jobs explore different themes.
The Lapser explores Memory Loss, Dissociation, Hallucinations, Tryptophobia, Insects and Postpartum Metaphors.
The Medium explores dissociation, possession, and cults.
The Pair, on its face, simply explores relationship conflict, but be mindful that it can quickly turn toxic, abusive, or codependent if you don't play carefully.
The Contractor dives deeper into derelict construction, claustrophobia, and injury.
The Agent explores manipulation and power dynamics.
If you don't want to explore a theme that a Job Sheet explores, this part is luckily avoidable. Just ask the player hosting your game to not print the sheet you don't want to be played in the game.
Because our characters are renovating and people like realism, if anyone has sensory sensitivities, such as to the texture of paint, cluttered spaces, loud noises, etc., have those discussions before the game and avoid describing those specific kinds of sensory experiences in detail.
Sharing your dreams and nightmares can be a very personal thing. If you're not okay with doing that, don't play this game.
In order to download this game you must purchase it at or above the minimum price of $8 USD. You will get access to the following files:
