#HotIndieTTRPGs For the indie rpg that caught their interest in 2020, @BeckyAnnison picked Four Lovers by @jmstar and @LizzieStark
All the games that are catching my interest at the moment are those which are nimble and easy to play online or to play solo, for obvious reasons. The game which really captured that for me this year was Four Lovers an online LARP written by Jason Morningstar and Lizzie Stark which takes the logistics of online play and bakes it into the game design. In this game you play character looking to make marriages whilst shut up in the Doge’s palace due to a plague. Sometimes you can speak over the audio (but not see each other) sometime you can only communicate in writing over chat. Very interesting and I know there has been an explosion of innovation in the area of online play which is really exciting.
