Cerberus [Free]

Cerberus [Free]:

You are Cerberus: The most feared being by the souls of the dead, the most trusted servant of Lord Hades. Under your three watchful sets of eyes, no mortal has ever entered the underworld, and no soul has ever left it. Today, however, is different. A man stands before you. Undaunted by your growling, barking, and most of all your slobbering, he sets his fingers to his lyre and begins to play. As he does so, your eyes begin to droop...

Cerberus is a One-Page RPG for three or more people in which each person plays one of the heads of Cerberus. Each of you desperately wants to devour Orpheus, but desperately does not want to share him with your fellows. Decide who gets to eat and who falls asleep in this fast-paced tabletop RPG.

Estimated Playtime: 15 minutes.

Necessary Materials:

  • A device capable of playing music.
  • A few scraps of paper.
  • A willingness to argue.

Cerberus was created for the One-Page RPG Jam 2021, the theme of which was "Borders." The game fits into this theme by being set at the border of the Underworld and by dealing with the selfishness that can divide even the closest of us.

The game's icon is a modification of the Fangs icon by Skoll from Game-Icons.net.
