Wolfspider Academy is a game created in 12 hours as a way to introduce younger children (ages 8-12) to tabletop role-playing games. It is meant to encourage storytelling and problem-solving skills. It also can be played without any violence or combat (although some slapstick injuries and hazards are still part of the game.) It's intended for quick sessions that can be done in places where time is super constrained, like day camps or after-school programs.
Players take on the role of students at the titular school for gifted young mages. In addition to school, they can also embark on a variety of different WIZARD ADVENTURES, which is where the fun really starts.
The game is rules light, played using only D6s, and should be simple enough for younger children to grasp (although they may need an adult's help in understanding some words, as well as the concept of tabletop role-playing games in general.) The GM is free to come up with their own details about the world and story as they choose, since the entire game is designed to only require the character and info sheets.
