The Eldritch Role-Playing Game is story and action-focused rather than tactical or “realistic.” The rules encourage immersion where everybody gets into the storytelling groove. In Eldritch RPG design, the player’s character concept being directed organically as the plot unfolds was key.
The Eldritch realms of Ainerêve showcase the tropes of fantasy and the epic fantasy milieu as both a familiar sandbox for the Game Master to play but one with mine and Peter Schaefer’s creative stamps on the face of the campaign setting. The intent is not to reinvent the wheel but to assemble a rule book that presented the game exactly the style the authors most enjoy. Sometimes the better question to ask is not what makes it different, but what makes the system a perfect fit for you and your gaming group? In all, we are confident that if the following overview piques your interest, this game in development (2021) is one you will enjoy.
