X Marks the Spot is a light-hearted game where you play pirates planning a voyage to buried treasure. You invent perils and draw them on your treasure map, and attempt to outwit each other by pointing out flaws in each others' plans. Most importantly, you have to Talk Like a Pirate, ye scurvy landlubbers!
You earn doubloons (or, if you're feeling like it, penalty drinks o' pirate grog) when you spot an irretrievable hole in another pirate's plan or beat them in a pirate insult battle. The game comes with a handy list o' piratical insults and other terms.
