This product is both a RPG and Miniatures Wargame Ruleset, set in the far off future. Wage war in outer space, and find adventure on new worlds. These rules are short and sweet, perfect for newcomers to the hobby.
The RPG part of the rulebook gives a nice short and sweet framework for roleplaying in outer space. Five available characters races and seven character classes (occupations/paths) are detailed. With two different methods of combat rules to choose from, this RPG makes it easy for
newcomers to the hobby. A sample adventure is provided as well.
The Miniatures part of the rulebook is for tabletop wargaming with spaceship type of miniatures. You will also need rulers and various dice. Experience in wargames is preferred but not necessary. This is a great gateway ruleset for newcomers to learn tabletop wargaming. Other
terrain features such as planets, suns, and asteriods are also taken into account.
The RPG is at the beginning of the book, followed by the rules for tabletop wargaming.
Note: If you already have the Astral Conflict miniatures ruleset you have half this book.
