The Vantablack Hack is a modification of David Black's "Black Hack", with the intent of stripping the system down to its very basics so others can use it as a platform for their own systems. The following modifications have been made for that purpose.
1. The system has been reduced from 126 pages to 8 pages and stripped of all theming or supplemental material, leaving only the basic mechanics.
2. Classes have been removed, replaced with a generic classless character generation system, but leaving room for new classes to be added.
3. Damage, previously coupled to Class, has been made dependant on a simple weapon system.
4. Rules for allowing the Stat-less enemies and NPC's to make stat rolls when needed.
5. Various minor changes to leveling up, death, illness, etc.
If you are looking to make your own Hack, or just want a good ruleset to build on, this is the place to start.
