Off on an asteroid!
Before the Slide the crew established Main Mission on the asteroid. In its orbit the base resupplied asteroid miners, Mars bases and swung by Earth for resupply and crew transfers. It was a milk run, as they say.
Subsequent events are less clear. Propelled by forces the humans could not understand, they thrown from star system to star system, across the Universe. Main Mission must survive, learn the nature of their travel and use it to return home or settle a new planet.
Universe Unleashed uses the Unleashed system. Characters have few stats and few rules but are customizable and can be set up in minutes. Characters may overcome threats through brute force or cunning. The necessary rules fit on a few pages. The rest of the book is content: gear, shuttles, creatures and alarm. You can learn the game quickly and then the fate of Main Mission is in your hands.
