“You have two stats: pride and princes. In the case that two dice fail, use [an] ability if you have help.” – RPG Bot @laserfeelings, 10th of March 2020.
You are the heir to the throne and it is almost your 18th birthday. This can mean only one thing: it's time to set out on a quest.
Your country’s marriage tradition dictates that the heir to the throne may only select a partner out of the members of their adventuring party. This policy makes little sense to outsiders, but has persisted by virtue of being cheaper and less degrading than debutante balls or an exchange of dowry.
Regardless of your personal feelings, it seems rude to decline the quest that your loving parents have prepared for you. You therefore pack your bags, don your gear and join your retinue of outrageously attractive princes, ready for the adventure of a lifetime.
Pride & Princes is a tabletop roleplaying game originally created for #BotCollabJam. You will need two 6-sided dice and a standard deck of playing cards with the jokers removed. The game can be played solo or with two or more players, one of which acts as Narrator/GM and the other which acts as Impetus, controlling the main characters. The latter role can be shared to support groups with greater than two players.
