Blood in the Water [Free]

Blood in the Water [Free]:

Blood in the Water is a ttrrpg  where the party plays as vacationers beset by creatures from the deep. When push comes to shove, will you be able to bite back your fear and stand up to the horrors of the deep, or will you crumble and become so much chum in the water? Live your B Horror movie dreams as you and your fellow spring breakers (or family vacationers, or whoever) attempt to escape from an island owned by the secrets of ocean evolution.

Blood in the Water contains a robust monster creation engine, a numbers-lite rules set, and a mechanic surrounding Fear and our ability to stand up to it when the situation truly calls for it.

This game was created for the Scream Jam 2020. Unfortunately, I couldn't fully finish before the Jam ended, so I will be editing and posting a clean and finished version before the end of October.  As such I request people not download it until the finished version is set. Sorry for the inconvenience, I just really wanted to have something up before the Jam closed!

Cover image is from the Smithsonian American Art Museum Open Access Archives. Image description: Two people stand in a small boat in the open ocean. The one in the front, who largely obscures the one behind, holds a rope which trails down to a hook embedded in the side of a shark flush against the side of the boat. The entire image is in black and white, an image scan of a wood engraving on paper created by Winslow Homer.
