An Introduction to the end of the world...
Not with a bang, but with a whimper. The end of the world did not announce itself. It slipped in through media outlets, into supermarkets and other pockets that nobody expected. By the time a response was put in place, it was too late, they were just meagre offerings to this unfeeling, unrelenting Darkness. People gathered in their houses; curtains drawn and eyes closed, thinking about how it would all end. Not with a bang, but with a whimper.
HOME: SURVIVAL is about what happens when the world ends slowly, and about the relationships that form in these last moments. The game follows a family of strangers as they live their lives, not only trying to survive but also fulfil their dreams and overcome their pasts. This is a game about what happens when the lights go out and you have hold onto a stranger’s hand and hope for morning to come. This is about what it means to make a home and to live.
During the game, you will create a family member, take on the trials the day has to throw at you, or set the trials your family must face. You will be coming to terms with your past and with the world that now surrounds you. Life isn’t just about making it to the end of one day and surviving through to the next morning, but about finding a reason to live in a world that is running out.
The game is built with a custom system using d6s, for 3-6 players, and is designed to be played in one sitting, though also includes rules for a game to run over multiple sessions.
Price: $10.00
