You are a horse with a Ph.D., and you’ve just accepted your first adjunct position at Martian NEIGHborhood College. You are not from Mars, you just got here from somewhere else. The other players are in the same boat…er…stable. Martian NEIGHborhood College has been hiring a lot of adjuncts lately.
The department heads and a lot of the tenured professors are all on sabbatical to help repair the busted bio-dome. The semester’s about to start, and you all want to teach a class you created in your area of expertise. But only one of you can, because the other horses will be saddled with the boring required classes that the usual instructors left unhorsed.
Roll dice to learn about your area of expertise, then argue together about why each of your courses most deserves to be in this semester’s catalog. Then clomp your hoof to vote!
