This is a GMless roleplaying game for 3-5 players about competition and growth.
It is inspired by shounen battle and sports manga but you don’t have to use those trappings if you don’t want to.
The competitions could involve physically fighting other people, or could take the form of a sports match or argument.
Players will have their characters compete in matches or bouts, and describe how they try to gain the advantage over each other by playing cards in Runs. Whenever a card is played, players will also roll dice to see if they gain Breakthrough. Breakthrough allows characters to gain advantage later in matches or to grow and change their characters in between rounds of the game.
To play, you will need some index cards or paper, some pen or pencils, a standard pack of playing cards with Jokers removed, two or more six-sided dice, and a bunch of tokens for Breakthrough and Resolution.
