A World Apart, Ten Feet Away is a two player role playing game about hospitalization, isolation, and the terrifying uncertainty of a loved one's fate. Take care that these themes are not too raw for you or your partner, given your individual circumstances. This game progresses by two players roleplaying through mailed letters, passed about intermittently during your day. Email or physically passing sealed letters both can work. This is not a game to be played in one sitting - it is expected to play out over the course of your week, replying to mail in your own time. Of the two players, one will play an infirm patient with a possibly terminal illness, and the other will play as someone close to them.
The game may be set in a world with fantastical elements, but the terrifying uncertainty of potentially losing a loved one in the hospital is universal, so be respectful, be prepared to be vulnerable, and know what you are choosing to play.
