During the Cold War, the C.I.A sent one million dollars every year to a junta of Greek military leaders to keep the rising tide of the Soviet Union contained.
The junta leaders described Greece as a "patient in a cast" and themselves as the surgeons who needed to "restrain" and "sedate" their patient for their own good.
Torture became commonplace, and the freedoms of thought and press were permanently rescinded. Christian fascism was the law of the land under the pretense of "returning to the old ways".
But you are the "old ways". You are a witch, empowered by Hecate and the rest of the Hellenic pantheon. You will not be complacent as long as the junta remains in power.
