Circle & Triangle is the world's first 12-Step Recovery "Kitchen-Tabletop" Fantasy Roleplaying Game! You're invited to grab a Recovery buddy and step into the New Land…a new world of fascinating adventure.
Circle & Triangle (C&T for short) is a coöperative adventure game—in other words, a tabletop fantasy roleplaying game, like Dungeons & Dragons. Though, since our game is based on the story of Bill and Bob, founders of the Recovery Movement, who first hammered out the Recovery principles around their kitchen tables, maybe it's better described as a kitchen-tabletop roleplaying game…a KTRPG!
Players assume the role of their own alter egos, who have been spiritually rocketed to a Fourth Dimension of Existence…the dimension of the New Land. Gifted with Higher-Powered Artifacts by the mysterious Trusted Servant (TS), they struggle against all the dangers of the New Land in their seemingly endless (and surprisingly episodic!) quest to return to their Home Group, in Earth. Equipped with these Artifacts, they often find themselves caught up in strange adventures where only their Serenity, Courage, and Wisdom, and these powerful relics, offer any hope of protecting the New Land from the Bogeymen and shivering denizens of the Mad Realm.
Circle & Triangle is inspired by the Recovery Movement which began with isolated souls in Akron, Ohio and New York City in 1935…and by the classic Dungeons & Dragons Cartoon Show of the 1980s. C&T is a game about fallible Recovery Heroes helping each other, as well as reaching out their hand to those in need—while overcoming their own personal afflictions.

Circle & Triangle uses a simple game system that frees up players to rely on their creativity, and to work together as a Fellowship to solve problems instead of (only) resorting to Scuffles.
The game can be played with a single twelve-sided die (“D12”) (not included). If you don't have a D12, luckily there's a photocopiable “Fold-Your-Own D12” included in the book, for cutting out and pasting together. And also a D12 Grid from which you could get a number by closing your eyes and pointing. Furthermore, the game can be played by using a D6 (a “normie” die) or a set of polyhedral dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20) instead.
This Twelvefold Storytelling Organism is modified from the Free Culture content of Diogo Nogueira's Lost in the Fantasy World game. Like its predecessor, Circle & Triangle is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license. In this way, Circle & Triangle gamers are free to publish their own C&T stories and expansions.
